Welcome!

By the way, as long as you’re here with me, I’ll share a few words of my backstory that you may find amusing.
I live and travel full-time in a bus-style motorhome. K, my copilot, and I wander aimlessly around North America in our fervent search for immortality. So far, we’re finding this lifestyle to be a wonderful source of endless inspiration, but alas, we remain mortal.
After four years of active government service, two more in the Reserves, and over three decades in the private sector, I retired from my successful career at a multinational corporation (IBM) in 2008 so I could pursue my passion for the arts and for travel.
Before moving aboard our forty-three-foot diesel pusher (2005 Newmar Mountain Aire) and began our land-locked wandering adventure eight years ago, we lived and traveled for many years in our good old boat, our beloved fifty-one-foot (LOA) pilothouse motorsailer SOJOURN (Island Trader) in which we voyaged from Minnesota to the Gulf of Mexico to the Florida Keys. Her home port, when not underway or “hangin’ on the hook” somewhere was Burnt Store Marina, rural Punta Gorda, Florida–or piece of paradise.
We also chartered boats in which we explored most of the Eastern Caribbean, the Greek Cyclades Islands in the Aegean Sea (Mediterranean), and the San Juan Islands off the coast of Washington state. A lifetime of memories (and marvelous story material)!
I sincerely hope you’ll check out my entire catalog of published titles HERE. Whether you’re into murder mysteries, historical crime fiction, my rather eventful fictional autobiographies, science fiction, poetry, or nautical travelogues, you’re sure to find something that floats your boat. I even produce a podcast called “Relevant Fiction – Stories with a Conscience.” But here’s what I’d ask….
After you read any or all of my books or listen to my podcast, I’d be in your debt if you’d write and post a brief review online where you bought the book. Or just email me at gjurrens@yahoo.com. Authors live or die by reviews (or lack thereof), especially on Amazon, so please help out a hungry boy with a dream!
Thanks for stopping by. Check back, now and then. I’ll leave the porch light on for ya.
